Vote for strike action at Leonardo over pay dispute

ALMOST 3,000 workers are set to walk out over pay at a major defence contracting firm this autumn unless they receive an improved pay offer.

Workers at Leonardo were offered a 3.9% pay increase but are asking the company to return to the negotiating table, the Unite union announced on Wednesday, October 8. Leonardo is a big part of Yeovil’s local economy and workforce. Recently, the contractor has been campaigning for a £1 billion government contract.
