Dedicated work to make festival a hit leads to joy of nomination

SOMERSTOCK Music Festival held every year in July is fast becoming one of the major summer events in the county and is growing in popularity.

Held at the recreation ground in Somerton, organisers said this year was the best ever.

One of its marketing team, Emily Gordon, has been nominated for a West Country Women award for her promotion of the festival online.

A real grassroots festival, Somer-stock is really making a name for itself and it is largely thanks to the team including Emily behind the organisation.

‘As well as being an amazing community event, £3,200 was raised for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and the Somerton Recreation Ground Trust.
