OPTIONS WITH YOUR APPLES

It really has been a big year for the apple harvest, at least in some parts of the South West.

The five apple trees in my Exmoor garden have been groaning under the weight of the fruit.

So what to do with it all? It can turn into a bit of a nightmare because you really don’t want to see all that lovely fruit go to waste.

Of course, making your own juice is an option, but only if you have at least some of the equipment necessary. From my harvest, I've been making large volumes of apple sauce which has all gone into the freezer in small tubs for use over winter.
