Dan Ellison celebrates his late goal for Yeovil at Eastleigh on Monday
(Alan Stanford/PPAUK)
Savage again admitted to frustration after Forest Green Rovers could only take one point at already-relegated Truro City on Easter Monday. The Green Devils took a 75th-minute lead through Tom Knowles despite having been reduced to ten men after Abraham Kanu’s red card, but a defensive error allowed Luke Jephcott to equalise.
Gabe Kircough played the ball straight to the Truro forward, who had no problem converting.
Savage said: “We got the goal, and then their goal is just so bad at this level - individual error again, dragging the ball back inside, kicking it at their player, and he puts it in, it’s just not acceptable.
