Hill 'proud' after brave comeback
Western Daily Press
|February 10, 2026
Maisie Hill made her Winter Olympics debut at the weekend exactly three years to the day after leaving hospital having nearly died in a training crash, writes Mark Halliwell.
The 24-year-old was introduced to snowboarding by her father aged eight on the hill behind their house in Cheltenham and moved to the French Alps when she was ten years old.
She finished 29th in qualifying for the big air event to miss out on the final, but will return for the slopestyle from next Monday.
