Bath close to securing prop Sela on new deal

BATH Rugby are believed to be in the latter stages of agreeing a new contract with 20-year-old tighthead prop Vilikesa Sela.
Sela, known as ‘Billy; looks set to step up to become a first-team regular in 2026/27, with the club having confirmed Springbok star Thomas du Toit will leave the Gallagher Prem club at the end of the current campaign to return to the Sharks in South Africa.
Bath also have British & Irish Lions star Will Stuart and Wales tighthead Archie Griffin on their books, but head of rugby Johann van Graan places immense importance on having strength in depth at the cornerstone of the pack, and Sela looks to be moving up the pecking order at the Rec.
