SHEPTON Mallet Prison are offering free tickets for dads this Father’s Day weekend.

The 17th century prison, which was decommissioned in 2013 and is now a top tourist hotspot, made the proposal for Father’s Day Weekend in June: “Forget the socks and ties! This Father’s Day Weekend, give dad something wildly different... send him to prison.”
The offer, which is valid on Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15, allows dads to nab a free self-guided tour ticket when accompanied by a paying adult or child. The deal is available to a select few, however, with only 50 Father’s Day tickets available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
