Covid scammer conned £47k out of Government

A WEST London Covid scammer fleeced the Government for almost £47,000.

Building contractor Tahir Haq lied about his company Integral Maintenance Team Ltd's turnover by almost £200,000 to get his hands on a £50,000 Bounce Back loan when it was only entitled to around £3,000.

The 46-year-old, of Norman Avenue, Southall, provided no evidence that the money was for his business's economic benefit, including cash withdrawals and money which was paid to a housing scheme in Pakistan that was totally unconnected to his company.
