Secret behind Adolescence tears

THE director of Adolescence used photos of actor Stephen Graham's own children to bring out his emotions in the final scene.

The hard-hitting Netflix drama tells the story of 13-year-old Jamie (Owen Cooper), who is accused of killing his classmate.

Stephen, 51, plays his dad, Eddie. Director Philip Barantini asked Stephen's actress wife Hannah Walters for pictures of their daughter Grace, 20, and son Alfie, 18, to hide in a wardrobe so only Stephen could see them when the cameras rolled.
