Lampard: I won't quit like Jimmy

FRANK LAMPARD has assured Coventry City fans that he has no intention of walking out of the club like legendary broadcaster Jimmy Hill did almost 60 years ago.

Lampard has masterminded the Sky Blues’ return to the Premier League after a 25-year absence and the job he has done at the Midlands club fuelled suggestions that Bournemouth have been looking at him as a possible successor to Andoni Iraola.

But after a 1-1 draw at Blackburn secured the club's promotion with three games of the season remaining, former Derby, Chelsea and Everton boss Lampard offered an emotional take on the strong bond he has with Coventry.
