Drivers' pay deal will help repair chaos left by Tories

AGREEING a pay deal for train drivers will be the first step in Labour's plan to fix our broken railways, Transport Secretary Louise Haigh said today.

She told how resetting industrial relations was a "priority" after the Tories left things in a mess.

If agreed by members of the ASLEF union, a pay offer made on Wednesday will end a long dispute.
