SHOW TIME... Arg meets fans & sings at charity do

- BY JANINE YAQOOB TV and Showbiz Editor

EX TOWIE STAR TAKES STAGE AFTER ASSAULT RAP

TOWIE'S James Argent smiles for the cameras as he makes his first public appearance since he admitted assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

The singer performed at a charity bash on Friday night, just days after it emerged he had been handed a six-month suspended prison sentence in Spain for a violence offence against Nicoline Artursson.

Dressed in a dinner suit and bow tie, he performed with The Arg Band at a glitzy boxing gala in London. James – known as Arg – did not mention his conviction but put on a high-energy show. The 37-year-old beamed as he crooned for a packed crowd at the Wickers Charity Ball.

The event, at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden, raised funds to tackle knife crime.

A source said: "Arg didn't address his recent troubles. He just did the gig like he normally would."
