'Charismatic' Flintoff and brilliant Buttler can lead white-ball revival, says Harmison
ANDREW FLINTOFF would be the ideal “infectious” character to rebuild and regenerate England’s white-ball outfit.
Former England paceman and Ashes hero Steve Harmison is convinced that Flintoff and Jos Buttler are the golden ticket to future silverware.
Big Freddie is on the list of names to take over the head-coach role left vacant by the departure of Matthew Mott following England's failure to retain their 50-over and T20 world crowns.
All-rounder legend Flintoff has been enjoying a successful start to his spell coaching in The Hundred with Northern Superchargers.
Marcus Trescothick has been left in temporary charge of England heading into the one-day and T20 clashes against Australia next month, with Buttler (below) remaining as captain.
England's former white-ball skipper Eoin Morgan would have been a hot favourite to take up the head-coach job but looks to have ruled himself out.
