Voters are still furious at Tory party's failures

TORY leadership hopefuls "have learned nothing" from their crushing election defeat but latest research reveals voters are still furious with the party.

The four finalists in the race to replace Rishi Sunak as leader are said to be facing a four-day "beauty parade" at the Conservative Party Conference, which kicks off in Birmingham today.

But Labour's Pat McFadden accused the Tories of thinking "if they shout the same message louder voters will admit they were wrong".

The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster added the Tories are "so terrified of Reform, they have abandoned all claim to the centre ground".
