A Labour of little love
The Sunday Mirror

Hard-nosed PM is gambling with soul of the party
If you campaigned for Labour at the last election you would have good reason to feel aggrieved.
You would not have knocked on doors to elect a government that is cutting payments to the elderly, removing benefits from the disabled and pushing more children into poverty.
Nor would you have expected a Labour government to ignore the Waspi women, slash spending on international aid, and impose yet more austerity.
And you would be deeply disappointed that a party which promised to clean up politics is accepting freebies to pop concerts and gifts of designer clothes while taking money from the poorest.
Indeed, you would have heard Keir Starmer before the general election promise to restore trust in public life.
