Army helps stranded Amarnath pilgrims with food and shelter amid harsh weather. Rescues them.
The Indian Army has been actively assisting Amarnath Yatris on both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes as inclement weather continues to affect the region. Over the past few days, Kashmir has witnessed heavy rainfall and cloudy conditions, causing significant disruptions to the Yatra.
A major landslide along the Baltal route washed away a portion of the road, leading to a tragic incident where seven pilgrims were swept away, and one woman lost her life.
The Indian Army responded swiftly, reaching the affected site without delay. Rescue operations were immediately launched, and the troops provided food, medical aid, and other necessary assistance to stranded Yatris, ensuring their safety and well-being during this critical time.
