US-based Kyndryl to base its Asean AI lab here, with 50 roles for local hires

About 50 jobs in artificial intelligence (AI) are being created at technology services firm Kyndryl, and they are open only to Singapore citizens and permanent residents.
The New York City-based company announced on June 24 its intention to base its Asean AI Innovation Lab in Singapore, following two similar hubs it opened in the UK and France, and will hire data scientists, data engineers and AI full-stack developers.
Dr Vishnu Nanduri, Kyndryl Asean's head of AI and innovation, said the firm has onboarded 22 hires, including fresh graduates from computer science and AI disciplines, as well as candidates from start-ups and other tech companies. "We anticipate further hires as we generate additional demand," he said.
