RACE 1(1,000M)
-
(10) LAYDELAY is much better than her last run on Sept 27. Blinkers on and she drops in trip to 1,000m. On her best form, she can certainly win.
(1) WHATASTAR has been a touch disappointing of late. She will improve now that she is up the straight again at Kenilworth. She can upset at a decent price.
(2) MORFELIHA ran a much better race at Durbanville on Oct 8. She was beaten only two lengths in third. If she can build on that performance, she can win a race like this.
(4) CRAZY LITTLE THING has run three good races in succession. She has a good each-way chance.
RACE 2 (1,200M)
(5) TOUCHED BY ANGELS finished like a train on debut behind Johnny Boy at Greyville on Oct 12. He will improve big time from his first run, even though it is a competitive race on paper.
(10) PROTECTOR OF PEACE stayed on powerfully for third to Marcus Aurelius on debut on Oct 8. If he can build on that performance, he will have a serious winning chance.
(7) GALLIC KING caught the eye on debut in the same race as Protector Of Peace on Oct 8. This lovely colt can trouble them all late.
(13) UMZINGELI WE-NYATHI stayed on strongly for second behind Freedom Fighter at Durbanville on Oct 15 at his first run in the Western Cape. The blinkers stay on, he will be competitive.
RACE 3 (1,200M)
(2) VIXENS WAR stayed on well for fourth, despite having absolutely no luck at Durbanville on Oct 8. With better luck, she will go very close to winning.
(4) IONA CASTLE ran a terrific fourth to Saachi One on debut on Oct 18. She can only improve, include her in all bets.
(6) BLUE LAGOON has run two great races in succession from bad draws at Durbanville. Will love the Kenilworth straight. Major threat on her best form.
