Who: Ms Sherry Tan, 43, is the chief corporate officer of IHH Healthcare Singapore, the largest private healthcare provider in Singapore. It operates Gleneagles Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Parkway East Hospital, as well as 35 other patient assistance centres worldwide.
Ms Tan has been with the company since 2013 and took on her current role in 2021.
"I am reading two books - Confucius From The Heart by Yu Dan; and a Chinese book titled Ren Sheng Mei Shen Me Bu Ke Fang Xia, or Nothing In Life Cannot Be Put Down: Hong Yi Da Shi's Wisdom On Life, by Song Mo. Both books fall under philosophy, one of the genres I like to read.
The Analects Of Confucius is a literary classic that has always intrigued me. However, understanding it in its original form has been a challenge.
