NFR Strengthens Support System for Loco Pilots with Tech, Wellness, and Modern Infrastructure

The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has launched a series of progressive initiatives to enhance the working environment, safety, and well-being of Loco Pilots—crucial frontline staff who ensure the punctuality and security of train operations across the region.

In a major infrastructure upgrade, NFR recently inaugurated a modern Running Room at Agartala, fully equipped with 24 residential rooms, community facilities like yoga and meditation halls, gymnasium, dining area, and lift access—making it the first of its kind in the zone. All rooms are air-conditioned and monitored with CCTV, while safety features such as emergency exits and pest control ensure a comfortable rest period between duties.
