National seminar explores the 'Scientific and Cultural Dimensions of Indian Rituals and Festivals

A two-day national interdisciplinary seminar, sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), was held on January 10-11, 2025, at Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya.
The seminar, jointly organised by the Departments of English and Chemistry in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), delved into the theme "Unravelling Indian Rituals and Festivals: The Interplay of Culture, Science, and Knowledge Systems." The seminar aimed to examine cultural practices as dynamic repositories of multi-dimensional knowledge and explore how traditional wisdom and modern knowledge systems can converge.
