Minister stresses on role of cooperative banking system, financial discipline

A special event was organised today at the Mahajati Sadan auditorium in Kolkata by the West Bengal State Cooperative Bank Limited to celebrate the International Year of Cooperatives 2025.
Over a thousand representatives from various cooperative institutions attended the event. The chief guest at the event was Minister of panchayats and rural development department and cooperation department Pradip Kumar Majumdar. He stated that the cooperative system is an effective means of empowering ordinary people financially, as well as promoting social justice, equality, and sustainable development.
