The Maharashtra government on Sunday cancelled two government resolutions on the implementation of the three-language policy in the state after facing heavy criticism for "imposing Hindi" on the people of the state.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, announcing the cancellation of the government resolutions that were passed on 16 April and 17 June, told mediapersons on Sunday that a committee will be formed to discuss the implementation of the three-language formula in the state.
