CPM’s ‘Bangla Banchao’ march hits Siliguri, Salim slams BJP, TMC

In a fresh political push wrapped in a new campaign style, the CPI-M's "Bangla Banchao" march rolled into Siliguri on Sunday evening-bringing with it a sharp message aimed at both the Trinamul Congress and the BJP. And at the centre of it all was a pointed allegation from CPI-M state secretary Muhammad Salim, who declared that "the BJP saves the TMC in many cases.
The march, which began in Tufanganj, Cooch Behar, is part of the party's renewed bid to rebuild its organisational strength ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections. Led by Salim, the rally travelled through Jalpaiguri, where youth leader Minakshi Mukherjee joined in today, before moving into the Fulbari Assembly segment.
