Over3 lakh enumeration forms 'uncollectible' in West Burdwan district

The District Electoral Officer (DEO) of West Burdwan and District Magistrate (DM), S Ponnambalam, has confirmed that 3,06,460 voters have been marked as "uncollectible" across the district.
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Bengal concluded yesterday, with the West Burdwan administration releasing updated figures on the distribution, collection and digitisation of enumeration forms. According to officials, voter list revision work in West Burdwan has revealed several striking statistics.
Across the nine Assembly constituencies of the district, 3,06,460 forms have been categorised as "uncollectible," meaning the names of these voters may either be removed from the rolls or corrected later.
