head of the 79th Independence Day, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood on Wednesday led a grand 'Tiranga Yatra' from Block C-1 to Dabri Chowk in the Janakpuri constituency, holding the Tricolour high.

The yatra saw enthusiastic participation from residents of Janakpuri and surrounding colonies, various social, political, religious, and business organisations, office-bearers of RWAs, and children from several schools, all carrying the Tricolour.

Member of Parliament from West Delhi, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, also graced the event. Approximately 8,000 people took part in the 'Tiranga Yatra', resonating a message of patriotism and unity throughout the area.

In his address, Sood said, "Today, organisations from across Janakpuri and its young children have gathered in large numbers to help build a developed Delhi, a developed Janakpuri, and a developed India. The Tiranga Yatra is not just a celebration of Independence Day, but also a message of cleanliness and positive social change."

Sharing his childhood memories of Independence Day with the children in the yatra, he said August 15th is not merely a day for hoisting flags and flying kites, but an opportunity to do something meaningful for the country.
