The reality musicals on TV channels give a message, albeit covertly, that the contestants with a classical arts background stand a better chance of winning.
The reality musicals on TV channels give a message, albeit covertly, that the contestants with a classical arts background stand a better chance of winning. This caused a spate of fresh learners in music schools and youth festivals. One such Yuva Sangeet Samaroh 2025 was staged at Bharatiya Samskriti Samsad Auditorium. The Samsad and Bharatiya Vidya Mandir, in association with Pandit Jasraj School of Music, organised this. The school, guided by its Director Saptarshi Chakraborty (a disciple of Pandit Jasraj) strived to feature hand-picked 'under twenty-five' talents as main and accompanying musicians. Many dignitaries, senior musicians and lay listeners enjoyed these sessions.

The pit as a destination
India’s current coal mine repurposing strategy ~ building eco-parks, greening overburden, revegetating surface land ~ is necessary but insufficient. It addresses the visual dimension of mine closure while leaving untouched the human dimension that our data identifies as the binding constraint. A site that looks healed but whose surrounding community has been economically hollowed out by three generations of mono-economy dependence on coal does not become a tourism destination by adding trees. It becomes a park that people drive past
