The long-standing demand to restore the original identity of the erstwhile DAV College, Koraput has finally been fulfilled, with the Odisha government officially notifying the renaming of Government College, Koraput to Government DAV College, Koraput on Wednesday.
This milestone marks the culmination of a 13-year struggle by alumni, faculty, and the governing body of the college, who had been consistently advocating for the restoration of the name "DAV" in the college's title—honoring its legacy and emotional connect with generations of students.
