INDIA bloc protested in both Houses, demanding discussions on the SIR & Op Sindoor

- STATESMAN NEWS SERVICE

Both Houses of Parliament, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, could not conduct any constructive business on Wednesday and were adjourned for the day amid ruckus over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Bihar. The chair in both Houses called it a day after two mid-proceeding adjournments as protests by Opposition members over the SIR in Bihar and the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar continued unabated.

As members from the INDIA bloc protested in both Houses, demanding discussions on the SIR in Bihar and Operation Sindoor, the two Houses were adjourned multiple times-first till 12 noon, then till 2 p.m. and finally for the day.

Despite the disruptions, the government introduced the National Sports Governance Bill and the National Anti-Doping Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha.
