Bangladeshi infiltration in Odisha due to failure of West Bengal: Minister Pujari

A day after the interception of 10 illegal immigrants from Bangladesh near Bhubaneswar railway station, the Odisha Government blamed the neighbouring West Bengal Government for failure on its part to check Bangladeshi infiltrators from gaining unlawful entry.
The Government in the neighbouring State has failed to keep a tab on influx of foreign nationals to India, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari charged on Monday, adding that the lack of governmental cooperation to the Centre has aggravated the illegal immigration trend.
The States like Odisha lying on the borders of Bengal are bearing the brunt of infiltration because of slack vigil on such unlawful activity by the West Bengal State Government, he pointed out.
It may be noted here that the Special Task Force of Odisha police on Sunday arrested ten Bangladeshi infiltrators who were unlawfully staying in Bhubaneswar after crossing over the country's border near Dhuburi in Assam.
