18-Yr-Old Girl Gets 20-Yr Jail for Abetting Classmate's Rape

The Additional district Judge court in Kendrapara sentenced an 18-year-old girl (Child in Conflict with Law) to 20-year imprisonment for abetting the gang-rape of her classmate two years back.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 18,000 on the convict and failure to pay which would result in her sentence being increased to a year, the judgment pronounced on Friday said.
The court also directed the Odisha State Legal Services Authority (OSLSA) to pay a compensation of Rs 7.50 lakh to the victim girl. The victim girl was reading in plus-two science in a college at the time of the incident.
