Jackie Phamotse breaks her silence

AUTHOR Jackie Phamotse has announced plans to publish a tell-all book reflecting on her two-year experience under correctional supervision. | Facebook

(Facebook)

Phamotse’s period of correctional supervision officially ended earlier this month, closing a chapter that began in March 2024.

She had been sentenced after being convicted of criminal defamation, crimen injuria and contempt of court. The case stemmed from her 2018 social media posts about media figures Basetsana and Romeo Kumalo.

In those posts, Phamotse described an alleged explicit video involving Romeo and another man. Although she did not name the couple directly, the court found that her descriptions made them identifiable and ruled that the posts intentionally harmed their dignity.
