Hall says Vale are 'hurting' after clinical County ease to victory
CONNOR Hall reckons not taking chances is costing Port Vale after they suffered a second successive defeat.
The Valiants centreback was culpable in a poor defensive mess and conceded the players were ‘hurting’ after the defeat to Stockport.
“It’s really disappointing coming in at home 3-0 down at halftime,’ said Hall. “It’s not something we wanted, it's not something we thought would happen.
“But that first half cost us the game.
“We couldn't get going. We had good chances and we didn’t take them and they had three chances and took them.
“There were a couple of individual errors in there but they [Stockport] are a good side but we should still perform better. We should stop conceding those sorts of goals. However, that first half has gone against us and it’s a really tough one to take.”
Stockport hit the post, missed two efforts from six yards when players were completely unmarked, while Joe Gauci prevented it being 4-0 right at the death.
