DEFENDER BEN HENEGHAN INSISTS VALE ARE READY TO TURN PERFORMANCES INTO WINS. CLIVE YOULTON REPORTS
GIANT centre-back Ben Heneghan believes Port Vale will soon turn the corner in League One.
The 31-year-old defender rarely gets a look in for League One matches having started in both Carabao Cup games this season, which Vale have won.
Heneghan said: "We've got a big squad and I think everyone in that changing room expects to play which is a good mentality to have.
"There's going to be upset at times but you get your head down and work hard. You can have your minute of head loss if you like but do you work hard to get back on track."
When he plays he gives his all and is a leader whether he's wearing the captain's armband or not.
He added: "I think that's just my game when I'm out there. I do like to command and instruct the lads. That comes down to a bit of experience.
