Vale warm up nicely for new season as they put five past Bath in blistering sunshine

I'M not sure 'eased to victory' is the right description of a game played in 32 degrees, but Vale came away from their latest preseason friendly with a 5-1 win at Bath City.
The performance was much enjoyed by the travelling fans in a crowd of over 500, one or two of whom had managed to pick up a new away top in the morning before making it to the South West for kick off.
The kit is modelled on Vale's Division Four champions of 1958/59, who rattled in 110 goals - and Vale very much embodied that spirit in this game.
Ruari Paton played in Mitch Clark to confidently open the scoring on 13 minutes, Sam Hart latched on to Jaheim Headley’s through ball to add the second on 23, and although Scott Wilson pulled a goal back on 38, Jayden Stockley made it 3-1 with a delicate finish a minute before the break.
Rico Richards netted the fourth from close range five minutes into the second half, and substitute Ben Waine netted the fifth on 69 minutes to complete a good workout for Darren Moore’s men.
Here, are the main talking points from Vale’s win in Bath, let’s start with the injury news....
BEN AMOS AND THE KEEPER SITUATION
He's suffered a muscle injury, and although Vale haven’t put a number of weeks on his likely absence, it doesn't sound short term.
