IF you are still wondering if, about 17 years ago, you really saw Tony Pulis driving around and around a roundabout near Stoke City headquarters - then you might be about to have your mind put at rest.
SUPERSTITION: Former Stoke City boss Tony Pulis was always on the look out for magpies.
The former Stoke boss has admitted that, for the sake of his superstitions, yes, he would go searching for a magpie before a match if he needed another to get his tally up to an even number.
Pulis would count magpies on his way from home to the stadium as part of his pre-match ritual while trying to keep the Potters in the Premier League.
He knows it was a mad thing to do but it literally drove him around the bend.
“I did have a superstition and I had one which was almost too embarrassing to talk about,’ he said on the latest episode of his new podcast, The Managers, with Mick McCarthy.
