Temple 'a dream come true

STOKE-ON-TRENT'S first ever Hindu temple has thrown open its doors for a long bank holiday weekend of celebrations.
The three-day event, which ended yesterday, is the culmination of 50 years of work to get the place of worship up and running and fully consecrated.
It has opened on Bold Street, off Keelings Road in Northwood after the Hindu Cultural Society purchased the former Wesylan chapel in 2016.
Work has been ongoing for years to get the building ready with a modern kitchen built.
