JUNIOR Tchamadeu now has to get through 14 more games without a yellow card to avoid an automatic suspension in the one position where Stoke City would probably be left with most head scratching.

Tchamadeu looks to keep out of trouble to aid Stoke

Tchamadeu has played every minute in the Championship so far for Stoke - four wins and a defeat - but has picked up a yellow card in each of his last four appearances. Only two other players in the division can match that; Preston's Andrew Hughes and Portsmouth’s John Swift.

Players who pick up five bookings inside the first 19 matches are subject to a one-match ban. That means he has to get up to the end of a game at Sheffield United on December 6 to avoid a week on the sidelines. Yellow cards are competition specific so that does not include cautions in the Carabao Cup.
