Students honoured for hard work

THE achievements of more than 125 students were recognised at the biggest ever City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College awards evening.

The event at the King’s Hall in Stoke was the most extensive to date and featured a variety of categories including Higher Education and Employer awards.

Guest speaker at the Aspire Awards Evening was Commander Nathan Gray, who is originally from Stoke-on-Trent and who enjoyed a distinguished career as a Royal Navy test pilot. He was the first British pilot to land an F-35B Lightning jet on HMS Queen Elizabeth. His powerful address, drawing on his experiences in aviation, leadership, and resilience, offered an inspiring message to students and guests alike.
