Oakamoor hold their nerve to secure Stafford success
The Sentinel
|July 29, 2025
OAKAMOOR clinched a one-wicket victory on their trip to Stafford in NSSCL Division One.
It was a low-scoring encounter at Riverway, but there were plenty of thrills and spills before the visitors managed to bank the points.
Callum Lowe was the star of the show in the early stages for Oakamoor as he bagged a hat-trick on his way to figures of 4-24 as Stafford were restricted to 118 all out.
James Smith also played his part with the ball as he captured 3-17.
Stafford were indebted to Gilhan Maligaspe Koralage for their total as he compiled an unbeaten 70, which featured 10 fours.
Joe Avery (26) and Tom Sherratt (20) handed Oakamoor a good start to their chase, but Stafford steadily chipped away at their rivals' lineup.
