JON Brady wishes his Port Vale team had shown league form to match their FA Cup exploits but he will enjoy today’s history-making clash at Chelsea to the full.

- Clive Youlton

The Valiants boss hopes his team can produce a performance and that fighting spirit they have shown previously up until the point they were demolished 4-0 at Wycombe Wanderers a week ago.

As the world looks on at the game today - which is live on the BBC and TNT Sports with a primetime 5.15 pm kickoff as well as stations around the globe - Brady, below, is preparing his players to be the best version of themselves.

He revealed that he asked seasoned campaigners Andre Gray and Onel Hernandez to talk about playing at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to press at his pre-match press conference he said: "Obviously in the last two months, we have been consistency a lot better. If you look at the previous 10 games, we won four, drew three and lost four and we probably had one of the best defences in League One.

"If you talk about the FA Cup wins in terms of points it would have been 15 from 10, and that would have been the best return in the whole season.

"That was for those 10 games. But the manner of the goals [at Wycombe] really hurt me. Obviously we spoke about it and we have put that to bed and we move forward. Now we go on to Chelsea.
