No bones about it, Queen Bey ruled at Met Gala

IT IS known as the Oscars of the fashion world, and there was no shortage of award-worthy looks at Monday night's Met Gala.

Hosted by Vogue's Anna Wintour, the annual fundraiser for New York's Costume Institute is certainly not a night for wallflowers and the A-list attendees lived up to expectations in fantastic creations.

Taking its cue from the Met's spring exhibition Costume Art, this year's theme, Fashion is Art, invited guests to “celebrate the countless depictions of the dressed body throughout art history”.

As activists outside protested against Amazon's Jeff Bezos and his pneumatic wife Lauren Sanchez being co-chairs of the shindig, inside it was clear that designers had allowed their imaginations to run riot.

Proving she is stylish down to her bones, Beyoncé, who was also one of the night's co-chairs, stole the show in a diamante skeleton design by Olivier Rousteing.
