New LED streetlights 'make roads safer and save cash'

Further 15,000 are set to be upgraded
NEW modern LED street lights are helping make the county’s roads ‘safer and brighter’ as well making savings for taxpayers.
With the clocks having gone back last month, Staffordshire County Council is reminding residents of its ongoing commitment to upgrading a further 15,000 streetlights across Staffordshire.
This £4.9 million investment is part of the Invest to Save programme, which has already replaced nearly 48,000 streetlights since 2020.
