NEW publicans have taken over a popular country pub - after being trained by famous chefs.

Jayne Adams, 34, husband Josh Adams, 35, and her brother Alex Hulin, 29, have taken on The Castle Inn, Congleton, and aim to focus on 'great food and a community spirit'.

The couple met in London and lived together as housemates.

Jayne was trained by Heston Blumenthal as front of house and Josh by Jamie Oliver as a chef.

A few years later, Alex was trained by Josh, entering - and winning - competitions together, before moving back to South Cheshire.

Josh and Alex have worked under chef Chris Holland - of the Great British Menu on BBC - at the Alderley Edge Hotel and at high-end venues such as Mottram Hall.

They have also received a card drom Michel Roux Jr wishing them well in the new venture.

Since the age of six, Alex had dreamed of being a chef at The Castle Inn after visiting as a child.

Jayne said: “We wanted our own place. We were actually looking at somewhere else but this came up and it's perfect.
