Kids' beds campaign to top 500 donations, says charity

More than 1,000 bundles given in 3 years

MORE than 500 children living in poverty will have had a brand new bed this year, a charity says.

Emmaus North Staffs expects to top the landmark figure for handing out its bed bundles - which include a bed, mattress and bedding - by the end of 2025.

It has been helping families in need in this way since 2022, following the launch Beds for Kids campaign. Now it is appealing for more support for its the campaign from the public and businesses.

Over the last three years more than 1,000 bed bundles have been delivered to households, largely in Stoke-on-Trent postcode areas.

This year the demand has continued to escalate and the charity is also seeing a rise in requests from families in Newcastle borough.
