Moonlight Walk helps raise thousands for Dougie Mac

MORE than 800 people helped turned the streets of Stoke-on-Trent pink by taking part in the annual Dougie Mac Moonlight Walk.

The 10-mile route - one of the Blurton-based charity's flagship events - saw supporters set off from St Peter's Academy in Fenton to walk in memory of loved ones.

On the way, they stopped off at children's services, in Grace Road, Trentham, and later visited the Dougie Mac Moonlight Garden at the adult hospice.

Paula McDonald took part in Friday's event in memory of 19 members of her family who have died from cancer.
