Leanne, 18, issues warning on 'spiking'

- Thomas Cooper Thomas.Cooper@reachplc.com

ANOTHER young woman has come forward following a spate of alleged spiking incidents at Yates in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Leanna Chatterton was enjoying a night out with three friends on Friday, October 17.

But sometime before 11pm - after drinking just two vodka Red Bulls - Leanna blacked out.

She suffered memory loss, blurred vision and had difficulty standing.

The 18-year-old was later taken to the Royal Stoke at 1am, where staff identified an injection mark on her upper-left thigh.

At 9am the following morning, Leanna reported the incident to the police while still in hospital.

She is awaiting the results of blood tests.

Leanna - the fourth person now to come forward - has shared her horrific ordeal in the hope it will act as a warning to others as police continue their investigations.
