How persistence paid off for super-slimmer Rosie

PICTURE OF HEALTH: Rosie Rushworth. Inset: How she used to look.

DETERMINED Rosie Rushworth is finally enjoying a new slimline look - that’s paid off for her kids and husband too.

The 36-year-old, of Newcastle, has shed 7st 7Ib in just under two years, after more than a decade of failed attempts.

Her efforts have also seen her husband lose nearly seven stone - and they allow her to take part in fun activities with the children, who she says are healthier too.

Rosie, a nurse, says she has joined Slimming World ‘20 times’ since 2009. But each time she struggled to lose weight, and at her heaviest tipped the scales at 19st. But she decided to give it another go in February 2024, and this time something ‘clicked!

Now Rosie is a trim 11st 7lb - and loving it. She said: “I feel amazing! It’s given me a load of confidence and helped make me feel like a new person. I even got a new job this year. Before the thought of having an interview was really daunting but having a positive self-image changed all that.
