Hem Heath turn on style to secure points on road trip

Visitors Hem Heath saw Wasim Khan and Callum Lovatt share a second-wicket stand of 195, which set the platform for them to post 236-7.

Khan led the way with a rapid 109, which included 17 fours and four sixes, while Lovatt struck 12 boundaries and two maximums in his 77.

Jack Baker scooped 3-27 and there were a couple of victims for Daniel Hancock.

Robert Whilding (47) and Rob James (25) impressed on the resumption for Knype.

But the home side were dismissed for 144 as Khan and Dean Hodson helped themselves to a couple of wickets apiece.

Alsager seconds sampled home comforts to beat their Silverdale counterparts.

Paul Pickford’s 64 was the principal contribution to Alsager’s 171-6 from their 40 overs.

Pickford’s knock contained 10 fours, with support coming from Andrew Watkins (40) and Hassan Haleem (28). Sam James claimed two wickets.

Silverdale gave the run chase a good go, led by James’ 57, which featured seven fours and two sixes.

Jacob McIntyre (22), Max Turner (17) and Chris Brookes (14) also made starts, but it wasn’t quite enough as Silverdale were limited to 158-9.
