Cattle and bees introduced to blossoming site

A RENOWNED North Staffordshire garden centre has taken delivery of a herd of cattle as part of its pioneering approach to protect the environment.

Solar panels have also been installed to power cooking equipment in the kitchens for the popular tearoom at Jacksons Nurseries in Bagnall. The business has flourished over the last 65 years.

With Luke Jackson now at the helm, it is taking steps to reduce carbon emissions and manage the land in the most sustainable way possible.

This includes recently welcoming a small herd of Belted Galloway cattle to support conservation grazing of their natural grasslands, wood pasture and wetlands.
